Reason I choose it to be in the top five:
"Although I wouldn't want to live in South Africa it would be a contender for top 5 most amazing geographies in the world"

This is South Africa, one of the most spectacular collections of landscapes within a single country.
 There is some exquisite architecture I did not know about as well.
